Constanța State Theatre, participation in the INTERFERENCE International Theater Festival in Cluj and tour in Miercurea-Ciuc

Two weeks ago, Constanța State Theater participated, with two performances, in one of the most important international theater festivals in Europe: INTERFERENCES, organised by the Hungarian State Theater in Cluj, recognized as one of the best theaters in Romania.

AWARD FOR MARIAN ADOCHIȚEI, TSC ACTOR, AT THE NATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL IN GALAȚI ⁕ Best Actor in a Leading Role ⁕

The award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 33rd edition of the National Comedy Festival in Galați went to Marian ADOCHIȚEI, an actor at the State Theatre of Constanța, for his role as Gaz in the play "Goi pușcă" by Simon Beaufoy, directed by Vlad Cristache. The jury consisted of theatre critic Mihai Brezeanu, actress Tania Popa, and director Radu Nica.

Constanța State Theater is again in the FNT selection - National Theater Festival!

Constanta State Theatre's performance "8 FATHERS" by Tina Müller, directed by Irisz Kovacs, scenography by Theodor Niculae, was selected, this year, at the FNT - Festivalul Național de Teatru / The National Theater Festival, in the category FLUID HISTORIES: Micro-histories. Broken families. The theme of the National Theater Festival 2022 is "Fragile borders. Fluid histories".

International scenography program in the DbutanT Festival-competition, the seventh edition

In the week of September 19 - 24, 2022, in Ovidiu/Constanța, the International Scenography Program takes place, the first stage of the DbutanT festival. The proposed theme is METAMORPHOSES, recalling one of the most influential root works of Western culture, Metamorphōsēs, by the Latin poet exiled to Tomis, Publius Ovidius Naso. Also, the chosen theme puts a greater emphasis on approaches that highlight concepts of circularity in art and invites the participating artists and the public to a dialogue about responsibility and sustainability.

SEAS - Summer Season of Performing Arts JULY – AUGUST 2022

SEAS 2022 - SUMMER SEASON OF PERFORMING ARTS, an event organized by the Constanța State Theatre and funded by the Constanța County Council, took place in July and August 2022.

"SEAS - SUMMER SEASON OF PERFORMING ARTS, July-August 2022" was designed to transform Constanța into a true cultural capital during the summer. Our aim is to offer the people of Constanța, as well as tourists visiting the Romanian seaside, the opportunity to enjoy a diverse selection of theater and music performances produced by cultural institutions from across the country. SEAS will enhance Constanța’s image during the peak of the summer season,” said Erwin Șimșensohn, General Director of the Constanța State Theatre, at the beginning of the season.

SEAS 2022 was a true cultural extravaganza, featuring 41 performances hosted at various locations, including the Soveja Summer Theater, a specially arranged stage in the Archaeological Park in the city center, and the Constanța Casino Promenade.

For the second consecutive year, CONSTANTA STATE THEATER WINS A UNITER AWARD

At the UNITER 2022 Gala, the 30th edition, held on July 4th, in Bistrița, in the presence of the most important Romanian theater personalities - directors, actors, scenographers, producers, etc., Constanța State Theater won the UNITER AWARD FOR THE BEST TV / TELEPLAY THEATER PERFORMANCE, awarded to "Z DAY" performance.
