Cătălina Mihai - Award for Best Actress at Buzău Theatre Festival

Cătălina Mihai, actress at Constanţa State Theater, was awarded on Saturday, just one day before her 25th birthday, at the “Buzău Loves Theatre” Festival. She won the Best Actress Award for her role Izzy in "Rabbit Hole" by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Radu Iacoban, which was performed in Buzău on June 16.

Following the end of the theatrical season 2021 - 2022, which brought two important new productions, these days, Constanţa State Theater is invited to perform in national and international festivals, but is also preparing the summer season. This year, the summer season will be a royal gift to the audience, with over 40 guest performances from all over the country, as well as performances from our own repertoire, concerts, exhibitions and more.

TSC PERFORMANCES TAKE PLACE IN THE NEW STUDIO HALL

The performances of the State Theater Constanța take place at the new Studio Hall, which is very close to the theater building, about 50 meters.

The address is Ion Lahovari Street no. 2A - on one of the alleys overlooking Ferdinand Boulevard, almost opposite the building where TSC operated until last autumn (now under renovation).

CONSTANȚA STATE THEATRE ON TOUR IN BUCHAREST

This upcoming weekend, the Constanța State Theater (TSC) has scheduled a tour in the capital. Thanks to the generosity and solidarity of colleagues from the "L.S. Bulandra" Municipal Theater, TSC, which currently lacks a performance venue in Constanța, will be able to present two shows to the Bucharest audience: "Maria Tănase. A Story" on Friday, February 11, at 7:00 PM, and "8 Fathers" on Sunday, February 13, at 7:00 PM.

#ACEDESIGURANȚĂ, a performance-installation staged simultaneously on TikTok and in four theaters across the country

On Sunday, January 23, 2022, the event "#acedesiguranță" will be launched, an unprecedented performance-installation directed by Bobi Pricop, which will be simultaneously staged in four theaters across the country: the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in Craiova, the "Andrei Mureșanu" Theater in Sfântu Gheorghe, the Constanța State Theater, and the "Teatrul de Nord" in Satu Mare. The performance is primarily aimed at teenagers.

A truly innovative concept, the performance is designed to work on two levels: in a theater hall, as a performative installation, and online, on the social media platform TikTok.

The Constanța State Theater was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit in the rank of Commander

The Constanța State Theater was awarded the National Order of Cultural Merit in the rank of Commander, more than 70 years after its establishment.

Here is the text of the presidential decree:

"On the occasion of National Culture Day, in recognition of the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by the generations of theater practitioners, who have brought to life a significant number of characters and, in this way, contributed to the progress of Romanian theatrical art, the President of Romania decrees: The National Order of Cultural Merit in the rank of Commander, category D 'The Art of Performance', is awarded to the Constanța State Theater."

5 NEW PRODUCTIONS, 4 PRIZES, TENS OF PERFORMANCES ON OUR STAGE, PARTICIPATIONS IN FESTIVALS AND TOURNAMENTS, PROJECTS IN PROGRESS

Although performance and concert institutions faced significant challenges due to the pandemic and had their activities restricted by legal limitations and conditions, the Constanța State Theatre had a rich 2021 with premieres, awards, tours, and festival participations.

CONSTANTA STATE THEATRE ON TOUR IN BUCHAREST

From November 12 to 14, the Constanța State Theatre will be on tour in the capital, with two performances: "Jocuri în curtea din spate" and "Doi tineri din Verona."

The DbutanT 2021 Festival has announced its winners: Cornelia Iordache, Irisz Kovács, and Alin Neguțoiu

The 6th edition of the DbutanT Festival-Competition, organized by the "Andrei Mureșanu" Theater (TAM) in partnership with the Constanța State Theater (TSC), concluded on Saturday, October 16, with an awards ceremony and a concert by the band White Betty.

The Constanța State Theater participated, at the end of September, in the Romanian National Theaters Reunion in Chișinău, organized by the "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater.

From Chișinău, the artistic and technical teams of the performance "Jocuri în curtea din spate" stopped in Brăila, at the "Maria Filotti" Theater, where on October 1, a performance took place as part of the International Performing Arts Festival - DIALOG.
