THE PERFORMANCE "LA ACADEMIE" MOVES TO CASA DE CULTURĂ

Due to the weather forecast predicting rain in Constanța this evening, the performance of "La Academie," which was supposed to take place at Grădina Tomis, outdoors, today, July 25, at 9:00 PM, will be moved to the Casa de Cultură a Sindicatelor. The time remains the same, 9:00 PM. Access will be through the side entrance, from the park.

The play "La Academie" by Alexandra Felseghi, directed by Andrei Măjeri, a production of the "Mihai Eminescu" Theatre in Botoșani, is part of the Summer Season of the Performing Arts – SEAS 2024.

"La Academie" is a great comedy, based on a delightful text.

"A performance that can be perceived as a pastoral comedy, agrarian, bucolic, rustic or rural… In short, with peasants. But it can also be turned into an unfolding tragedy. Towards an imminent catastrophe," says director Andrei Măjeri.

"A space and time where nothing in sight, seemingly untouchable and unlivable, is ugly or unattractive. On the contrary. It's that terribly authentic rural life, where, when you take off the woolen coat, the blanket, the sheepskin, the cap, the scarf, the apron, and the rubber boots, and you rip from the weathered hands the sickle, the hoe, the axe, the shovel, or the buckets they use to make their way through the harsh life in the countryside, what remains is the bare human, full of essential wonder, of the purity of all beginnings that don’t seem to have ever taken place, which still fascinates us and delights our souls." – Luciana Antofi
