The "Radu Beligan" Association, in partnership with the Comedy Theatre and Scena.ro, a renowned performing arts magazine, is organizing this week the fourth edition of the "Radu Beligan" Award ceremony. The grand winner is none other than Ștefan Mihai, an actor with the Constanța State Theatre. The event will take place on Thursday, October 10, at 6:00 PM in the foyer of the "Radu Beligan" Hall at the Comedy Theatre.

The Constanța audience is already well-acquainted with Ștefan, who, despite his young age, has been part of the TSC team for five years and performs in most of the current repertoire's productions. This recognition marks an excellent year for Ștefan, following a prestigious nomination for the UNITER Awards for Best Supporting Role for his performance as Cristi in the play 10 Things I Lost at the Mamaia Festival, directed by Elena Morar and Gabriel Sandu, and his outstanding portrayal of the jester Feste in Twelfth Night, directed by Andrei Șerban, which premiered in February. Both productions are featured in this year’s selection of the country’s most important theatre festival, FNT, and will be performed at the Bulandra Theatre, "Toma Caragiu" Hall, on October 22 at 6:00 PM and on October 24 at 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, respectively.

The "Radu Beligan" Award, established by writer Anamaria Beligan, the actor's daughter, to honor his memory, was previously won by Cristina Casian (2018), Mihai Florian Nițu (2020), and Florina Gleznea (2022).

As part of the award ceremony, the monograph Marcel Anghelescu by Ion Moldovan will be launched, dedicated to the renowned Romanian stage and film actor who frequently shared the stage with Radu Beligan.

Thursday’s event at the Comedy Theatre will be attended by Anamaria Beligan, Eva-Maria Anghelescu (daughter of Marcel Anghelescu), Prof. Dr. Ioana Crăciun (University of Bucharest), Cristina Modreanu (Babeș-Bolyai University), Erwin Șimșensohn (Constanța State Theatre), Irina Margareta Nistor, Mihai Mălaimare, Alexandrina Halic, Ion Moldovan, Raluca Tulbure, and Florina Gleznea.
