Horia Suru is a theater director, known primarily for his productions of contemporary texts. He graduated from the Faculty of Theatre and Television at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca in 2008 and received theater study scholarships in New York (USA), Clermont-Ferrand (France), and Valencia (Spain). He holds a master's degree in Theatre, Film, and Multimedia from the same university. He was an actor at the Youth Theatre in Piatra Neamț from graduation until 2012 and made his directorial debut in 2011 with the play "Dear Professor, With Love" at the "Maria Filotti" Theatre in Brăila. As a director, he has staged 26 productions at theaters across the country, including six theaters in Bucharest (National Theatre "I.L. Caragiale", Odeon Theatre, Act Theatre, Mic Theatre, Excelsior Theatre, and Point Theatre), four municipal theaters in Transylvania (Arad, Baia Mare, Oradea, Sfântu Gheorghe), and two in Moldova (Bacău and Botoșani). His plays have been presented at the most important national festivals, such as the National Theatre Festival and the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, as well as at profile festivals in Oradea, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Piatra Neamț, Arad, Timișoara, Brașov, Brăila, Galați, Constanța, and on international tours in Macedonia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, and others.
