Among the more recent productions, the audience can applaud Mirela Pană in "The House of Bernarda Alba", directed by Diana Mititelu, "Seaside Stories", directed by Radu Afrim, "Prometheus'22", directed by Gábor Tompa and "10 things we missed at Mamaia Festival", directed by Elena Morar and Gabriel Sandu. Mirela Pană plays Maria Tănase, on the stage of the State Theatre in Constanta. " 'Maria Tănase. A story' is my pious and sincere thought for Maria Tănase 'told' with elegance and fair measure by director Carmen Lidia Vidu, together with Cristina Baciu and Elena Gatcin. It is a documentary performance, standing on a mountain of pure emotion conveyed through word or song. A whole Universe!" (Alina Neagu, Hotnews.ro) She is part of the cast of the unique show "The Comedy Match", which tests the actors' improvisation skills. Among the roles she has played are: Elmire in "Tartuffe or the Impostor", Irina Popa in "Z-Day", Oskar's mother in "Let the Right One In", Eileen "The Cripple of Inishmaan", for which she was also awarded, at the National Comedy Festival in Galati, Best Actress in a Supporting Role, as well as the role of the mother in "Let the Right One In", a highly successful poetic thriller, and the role of Elmire in Moliere's comedy "Tartuffe". She has memorable appearances in "The Magpies" by Alexandru Kirițescu, "Euthopia" after Aristophanes, "Queen Mary's Heart!" by Radu Aldulescu, "The Rat King" by Matei Vișniec and in other performances of the Constanta State Theatre. She graduated in 1996 from the Theatre-Film Academy of the "Hyperion" University and started her acting career at the Fantasio Theatre, where she played many roles and won the Best Actress Award at the Festival of Revue Theatres. She has won numerous other awards, including one as a singer at the Mamaia Festival of Pop Music, has had significant personal projects, including the show "Maria Tănase", and starred in Mircea Veroiu's film "Craii de Curtea Veche". One of her most important creations is her role in "Jurnal de România. Constanta", a successful TSC show, also performed in Vienna, Timișoara, Sibiu, Bucharest and even in Brussels, as part of the EUROPALIA International Arts Festival, considered the largest cultural event in Belgium. For her appearance as the famous singer Maria Tănase in the show "Maria Tănase. A Story", directed by Carmen Lidia Vidu, Mirela Pană won the Trophy of the Bacău Monodrama Festival 2021.
