SEAS 2024: Art

The performance Art, a production of the "Lucia Sturdza Bulandra" Municipal Theater in Bucharest, will take place on July 30 at 8:00 PM at Casa de Cultură a Sindicatelor as part of SEAS 2024.

How would someone react if their best friend suddenly did something so outrageously foolish that it called into question the very foundation of their friendship? When an art enthusiast purchases what is essentially a plain white painting for an exorbitant price, his best friend loses his mind. A third friend finds himself caught in the middle between the two, in a play that astonishes with its sharpness and humor. The attempt to understand strange modern art and peculiar modern friendships—seemingly distinct yet sometimes remarkably similar—is at the heart of a play that has been universally praised by audiences and critics alike since its premiere.
