Maybe by 2301, we won't need another feminist show
The performance Maybe by 2301, we won't need another feminist show is part of the cultural project ASSIGNED, produced by Asociația Delazero and co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.
In a patriarchal system, women endure, support, serve, listen, help, and protect. Women are not aggressive, do not assert themselves, do not protest, do not demand, do not take risks, and do not occupy space.
In Maybe by 2301, we won't need another feminist show, three performers - Maria-Luiza, Anca, and Mariana - speak about daily, normalized experiences and statistics that seem unreal, about contradictory roles and intangible norms subtly propagated in society.
Some situations may feel familiar; others may be at least uncomfortable. Some might amuse you, while others will frustrate you. This is the space women live in—chaotic, absurd, oppressive, and unjust. At the same time, it is a context where we act with solidarity, courage, and empathy.
Perhaps by 2301, we will no longer need such a performance. For now, we are here.
Recommended for audiences aged 16 and over.
The performance contains strobe lighting, which may affect individuals with epilepsy.
