CULture vs. COOLture

National Culture Day, observed on January 15 to honor the birth of Romania's greatest and most iconic poet, celebrates Romanian culture in all its forms. 

Out of the desire to move beyond traditional celebratory forms, the concept of the debate Culture vs. COOLture was born. Eight teams of young debaters bring the theme of culture into contemporary focus, presenting their own visions with broad artistic and temporal perspectives. 

The final, broadcast LIVE on January 23 from the stage of the Constanța State Theatre, will be unique, with actors illustrating the debated theme through theatrical means. 

The event is organized by the Constanța State Theatre, Constanța – Youth Capital of Romania 2021-2022, the Federation of Youth Non-Governmental Organizations in Constanța, in partnership with the Constanța City Hall.
